Argument no.2. the rapture takes place at the end of the tribulation period because...
The Rapture will take place after the seventh trumpet is sounded.
The seventh trumpet signals the end of the Tribulation period and the beginning of the new Millennium. The Scriptures ties the seventh trumpet to the Rapture. Thus, the Rapture will take place at the end of the Tribulation period. Below is the explanation.
Here is the verse linking the Rapture to the last trumpet:
"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
1 Cor 15:52
The rapture will happen after the last trumpet is sounded.
Another verse linking the Rapture to a trumpet:
" For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
1 Thes. 4:16-17
Again, the rapture happens after a trumpet is sounded.
Why the seventh trumpet is the "last trump"? Here are the arguments:
"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."
Of the seventh trumpet, it is also said:
"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets".
"The mystery of God should be finished" refers to a fulfillment of some important event, which is either the resurrection of the Saints or Christ Second Coming.
Thus, the seventh trumpet is the last trumpet, and there will be no other trumpets after the seventh. Per Rev.11:15, the Millennium begins soon after the seventh trumpet is sounded.
Some believe that most of the Revelation trumpets already sounded and we are just waiting for the seventh trumpet, after which all saints will be raptured. This is completely unfounded, because none of the catastrophic events described in the book of the Revelation actually happened. Say, for example, the events of the sixth trumpet will cause the death of 1/3 of the world's population due smoke inhalation and fire. Have this ever happened? Most certainly no. None of the events brought about by sounding of the trumpets have ever occurred.
